September wrap-up: what have we been up to?

Another month, another wrap up!

We’ve had some big goings on this month, with office moves and anniversaries, as well as Chloe and Suliman finishing off their big Leeds to Liverpool cycle.

Hannah Sharp celebrated her 7th anniversary with the business; Han is a shining star in our Sheffield office, and she always has time for everyone. Her manager, Kayley, spoke about what it’s been like working with her over the years:

"It's not often that you meet someone who is as universally liked and respected as Hannah – from her colleagues to clients and candidates alike, Hannah is one of those rare gems. Since joining us, she’s proven her value time and time again, starting as a Consultant working our Transactional Finance desk, then working up from PQ to Newly Qualified. Along the way, she’s demonstrated her natural leadership skills, motivating and developing her team with ease.

Her commitment to the business, her passion for driving excellence, and her high standards have made her a respected voice among our senior management team, but Hannah’s contributions go far beyond her role – she’s also our charity champion, organising initiatives that bring the team together for great causes, and she's also known for throwing one unforgettable summer do!

Hannah’s ideas around wellbeing are vital to our business, and as a trained Mental Health First Aider, she’s always looking out for the wellbeing of the entire team. We’re so proud of everything she’s achieved and can’t wait to see her continue to flourish and inspire us all.”

We also celebrated Chloe Harvey’s third anniversary in the second week of September – we asked her manager, Claire, what it’s like been seeing Chloe grow over the last few years:

“I can’t believe Chloe’s been with us for three years! She’s an incredible administrator and a huge support to me – this was super evident when I was on maternity leave where she managed the entire workload on her own for months, until Sam joined the team. Chloe’s always willing to go the extra mile for anyone, she’s a lovely person to have in the team and here at Sewell Wallis. She’s kind, caring and dedicated to her role, and she’s not only a fab administrator, she’s proven herself as a trainer and a mentor, getting Sam up to speed when she started whilst also managing the admin work she needed to do effortlessly.”

Chloe and Suliman also finished their ride from Leeds to Liverpool! They embarked on their challenge to cycle the length of the Leeds/Liverpool canal for Brain Tumour Research earlier this year and weren’t able to finish it in one day, so they completed it this month. They should be super proud of themselves - we definitely are!

It's been a busy month for us. We're rapidly heading towards the end of the year and we're excited to see what the final quarter of 2024 brings our way! Stay tuned for more news from Sewell Wallis, and if you find yourself in need of a reliable bunch of recruiters who tell it like it is and call you back when we say we will, drop us a line.
