July wrap-up: what have we been up to?

It’s the end of July, and time for a Sewell Wallis monthly wrap-up. It’s been a busy one!

We’re incredibly proud to congratulate our new Senior Administrator, Samantha Smith, on her promotion! Samantha has been with us for just under a year and a half, and in that time, she’s really made her mark on our admin processes; we really don’t think the Sheffield office would be able to function without her! We look forward to seeing what she does next.

We raised nearly £400 for Brain Tumour Research this month, taking our grand total to £2,942 for the year – we’re so grateful to every single person who has donated, and we have way more to come. July saw us hold an inter-office Euros sweepstakes, which saw Faith take the top prize with her Spain draw, beating Abby to the punch for the top prize of a brand-new iPad! Abby took home £200 in vouchers for a commendable second place with England. Claire got the longest goal in the tournament with Denmark, and Hannah had the dirtiest team with the most cards overall with Turkey; both took home £50 in vouchers!

Our guys also ran the Yorkshire Tough Mudder at the end of July – I think I'll let the pictures do the talking as they say more than words ever could...

July is a big one for birthdays in the Sewell Wallis offices, with Emma, Inci and Abby all celebrating. We’ve eaten a lot of cake this month!

Our Marketing Officer, Hannah, attended Sheffield DM Summer 2024, Sheffield’s premier digital marketing conference, where she networked with marketers from across the city and listened to workshops from some of the region’s most talented marketing professionals.

It was National Picnic Month, so we celebrated in the sunshine with a picnic in Sheffield's Peace Gardens and on the terrace of our Leeds office on Greek Street.

And to wrap up the month, we held a team social in York. We try and get together every quarter and it always winds up being a good day out! We went for brunch at Cosy Club, went duck pin bowling and played crazy pool at the Roxy Ballroom and had a big Italian meal to round off the day.

Roll on August, hopefully more sunshine and more big achievements at Sewell Wallis!
