About the Role

Sewell Wallis are working with a small practice firm based in Doncaster who are recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper due to business growth. They are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper or Semi Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent part time basis - approximately 20 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting and finance professional with a background in practice which offers a great deal of flexibility.

What will you be doing?

  • Preparing all aspects of book keeping as well as VAT returns for a range of clients, ready for review
  • Preparing financial accounts for a wide variety of clients, including Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
  • Continuously using accounting software to maintain accurate and detailed financial records
  • Acting as a point of contact and assisting with client queries

What skills are we looking for?

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Senior or similar role in practice
  • Proficiency in a variety of accounting software, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and IRIS is ideal
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Relevant qualifications are highly desirable
